The Skateboard Mag

When I was 15, I got my first job—writing for one of the biggest skateboarding magazines in the world.

I got to review skate videos, travel with pros to big events, and generally pretend I knew what the hell I was talking about. I really feel that this set me up to want to be a writer professionally, even though I had no idea what a Copywriter was yet. Here are a few samples (click to enlarge).

Adchella

While working at DDB, I came up with a fake “Adchella” poster to coincide with the release of the real Coachella lineup. It includes a lifetime’s supply of advertising puns, but at least DDB thought it was funny enough to share on their social accounts.
